A one-story welding business and garage occupies part of the former Old Colony Railroad yard — the site of what may become one of the more protracted development debates of the early 21st century. In April 2015, Riley Brothers Realty — Michael Riley, Mike Riley Jr., and Steve Riley — bought the parcels at Nos. 132, 134, and 136 Bradford Street, and the abutting parcel at 10 Conwell Street, from Margaret S. Duarte. They paid $6.3 million for the property, suggesting they had bigger plans in store than a T-shirt shop and parking lot. That became clear in 2016 as their proposal for a 326-seat theater, to be leased to Ralph Santora, began making its way through the land-use review process.
