Admiral’s Landing.
This 1850s house was, for a time in the mid-1950s, the Casa Brazil rooming house. (That business moved next door, to No. 156.) Through the 1970s and mid-’80s, it was owned by Dorothy Nearen and Marilyn Cubberley, and called Wave’s Landing Guest House. Under Steve Irving, who acquired it in 1988, it became Admiral’s Landing — a slightly more masculine-sounding name and one that would be higher up in alphabetical tourism listings. Peter Bez and Chuck Anzalone bought the place in 1995. It was sold in 2010 to Robyn and Audri Bazlen-Weglarz.

Chuck Anzalone wrote on 27 April 2012: According to an old postcard we found (date unknown), the three buildings — 156 Bradford, 158 Bradford, and the house behind 158 Bradford on Pearl Street — were run together as “Casa Brazil.”
Chuck Anzalone wrote on 28 April 2012: Prior to Steve Irving purchasing the house in 1985, it was run as “Wave’s Landing” by two women who had been in the Navy. We had guests in the ’90s who told us they had stayed at Wave’s Landing in the ’70s.
David Jarrett wrote on 31 August 2013: Steve Irving moved to the Fort Lauderdale area after he sold Admiral’s Landing. We had a few dinners together in South Beach, where I own a condo. I recall that he died unexpectedly.
