A gorgeous Greek Revival-style entryway, with fluted pilasters and a lintel with dentils (!), is a mark of a house that has not undergone one renovation after another in recent decades. The property was purchased for $10,000 in 1964 by Philbert M. Roderick (b 1934), who continues to own it. Roderick was the son of Joseph (b ±1907) and Justine (b ±1908) Roderick of School Street. He served in the U.S. Navy submarine service and was station aboard the U.S.S. Albacore in 1959, when he wed Joanne Mae (Oliver) Roderick (±1933-2005), who had graduated from the Cape Cod School of Practical Nursing. Still listed at this address in 2012, Roderick’s occupation was given as a driver for the Cape Cod National Seashore. Philbert M. Roderick Jr. (b 1959,) a carpenter, was living at 7 Bradford Street.
