Zorilda “Zee” (Smith) Von Kleist (±1928-2011) was “big, bold, bluff and at times profane,” an obituary in The Banner acknowledged. She worked at Art’s Dunes Tours, Marcey Oil, the Provincetown Inn, and the Provincetown Public Library. She and her husband, David “Von” Von Kleist bought this parcel in April 1977 from Robert E. Collinson. Two months later, “Von” was gone. “Zee” constructed this house the next year and owned it until 1996. Laurence Douglas Freeman purchased the property in 2002.
