Former Adams’ Rooms.
This was once the home of Elizabeth Jane (Cabral) Adams (1922-2005), who ran this property as Adams’ Rooms. Her mother, Christine Cabral, had run Christine’s Lodge at 6 Atlantic Avenue. “She was well known for her beach plum jelly and a famous chocolate cake that was in demand at many bake sales,” her obituary in The Banner said. “She also hooked more than 20 original rugs on her own.”
