Provincetown Municipal Airport | Cessna 402.
The twin-engine, 10-seat Cessna 402 is to Cape Air what the Douglas DC-3 was to the Provincetown-Boston Airline: the signature aircraft of the fleet. Cape Air is the largest operator of the 402, with more than 80 of them. The 402 was in production from 1967 to 1985, so even the newest planes are entering their fourth decade of service. No stranger to Provincetown Municipal Airport, a 402 began regular passenger service with the Provincetown-Boston Airline in 1972. The PBA Cessna fleet grew to four by 1978 and nine by 1981.
