Cemetery 24 Dyer William.jpg

(2008)

Capt. William H. Dyer (±1857-1887).

Lot No. 271 is a large gathering of family: one monument, eight stones, and five footstones, according to the invaluable Provincetown Massachusetts Cemetery Inscriptions. The central monument is dedicated to the memory of Capt. Dyer, the son of William and Mary S. Dyer, who was lost at sea on 20 August 1887, just a month and a half shy of his 31st birthday.
