This Long Point transplant at 59 Commercial Street was, until 2001, the headquarters of the Center for Coastal Studies. The office was relocated first to 115 Bradford Street and then to the Hiebert Marine Lab at 5 Holway Avenue, leaving this fine old house to return to domestic service. Kent Davis and Carlos Garcia-Velez of Chapel Hill, N.C., have owned it since 2013.
