Edward C. Parker (1808-1867).
Parker, a mariner, was the son of Samuel and Experience Parker. He married Sally Cook in Provincetown in 1837 and died in Harwich at the age of 58, of “phthisis” — most likely pulmonary tuberculosis. His monument, an elongated, tapered, chamfered pedestal topped by a wreathed cross, was erected four years after his death.
