Look carefully at the last chain link on the left. It is broken, a symbol of the departure from the Small family of 23-year-old Abby, who died of tuberculosis, which was then called consumption. She died long before her mother, Abigail C. (Gross) Small (1805-1886), who is buried nearby. [Lot No. 2.]
