BEKS Condominium (Unit 6).
This is the single waterfront unit within the eastern building (Building 2) of the BEKS Condominium. There’s something about that little front porch perched over the stairway to the beach that seems reminiscent of San Francisco. The BEKS Limited Partnership sold this unit in 1990 to a resident of Key West for $220,000. The family held on to the property for nine years, selling it in 1999 for $450,000 to a couple from Jamaica Plain. They held on to the unit for 19 years, after which they sold it in 2018 to a couple from Boston, for $1,500,000. The sales price history of Unit 6 may be all you need to know about what’s happened to the economics of modern-day Provincetown.
