Dog Beach.
Tucked between the Town Landing boat ramp to the east and a small rip-rap promontory to the west, the West End Lot Beach — also called Dog Beach — is small (about 120 feet wide) but quite pleasant in its semi-isolation. Besides dogs and their two-legged pack members, you’ll find kayakers, families with small children who appreciate how shallow the water is, and, occasionally, my husband and me.
